Frogoth is a movement-focused 2D platformer. Play as a magical frog exploring a dark, gloomy city. Outsmart enemies by using movement to draw shapes to defeat them.

Design Process

The development of Frogoth followed a systematic approach starting with core movement mechanics. We began by prototyping the frog's movement abilities, ensuring smooth and responsive controls. Level design focused on teaching players the unique shape-drawing combat system through progressive difficulty and environmental storytelling.

Our development process involved iterative prototyping and playtesting. Each level was designed to introduce new mechanics gradually, ensuring players could master the shape-drawing combat system before facing more complex challenges.

Responsibilities

Game and Level Design

  • Designing Gameplay mechanics around a fixed reference

  • searching and editing SFX
