Sparks Way Home is a beginner-friendly and charming 3D platformer about a curious lightning bolt that fell from the sky. Explore a peaceful, ancient temple, solve puzzles, and reactivate forgotten mechanisms to guide Spark through a beautiful, atmospheric world—and help him find his way home.

Development Workflow

Level Design Approach

For Spark's Way Home, we adopted a 'design-first' approach where level layouts were carefully planned before any art implementation. This involved extensive paper prototyping, 3D blockouts in Unity with ProBuilder, and iterative playtesting to ensure the puzzle mechanics were intuitive for new players while remaining engaging.

The puzzle mechanics were designed to be accessible to new players while providing depth for experienced gamers. Each puzzle was carefully balanced and tested to ensure the difficulty curve was smooth and engaging.
