Sparks Way Home is a beginner-friendly and charming 3D platformer about a curious lightning bolt that fell from the sky. Explore a peaceful, ancient temple, solve puzzles, and reactivate forgotten mechanisms to guide Spark through a beautiful, atmospheric world—and help him find his way home.
Building jump-and-run prototypes with simple moving parts for brainstorming and proof-of-fun. This helped to shape the vision and served as a Q&A for the custom level editor tool that our engineer was developing.

Trying out different puzzle ideas in an open level area. The focus of this concept was on exploration and discovery, with slight Metroidvania elements.

We optimised the workflow for faster and more efficient art implementation after blockout. This reduced the time needed for set dressing.

A lot of ideas, concepts and prototypes were created, but we had to cut them out to manage deadlines and focus on our core gameplay and vision.

Over time, our custom level editor tool has improved, even adding splines to make the level design workflow more flexible and faster.
